J18RSA's clutch is on the way out, as he has not web access im asking on his behalf how difficult it would be to do?? and if there are any special tools needed?? or tips any one can give??

Cheers ROb

Easy job - Well as long as u know what your doing,...

You would need a clutch puller - but other than that, just standard tools.

If your unsure mate, just get it taken to a garage.

Unless you have a ramp it'll be quite a job to hold the box to remove/fit it. It's feckin heavy!

It can be done on a driveway with trolley jacks, but if you've never done it before i wouldn't reccommend it! :)

Find a mate who has done it and watch how it's done.

I believe it also has to be realigned with a clutch alignment tool :)

Joz

Yep, puller and allignment tools.

Also some high ramps to drive the car on.You want as much room underneath when removing/installing a gearbox as possible.

Tbh, its alot of effort if you havent got a proper pit where you can get a gearbox jack underneath.
