intercooler just fitted will i need remap?

no if you just spinkle magical Christmas dust over the engine bay it will be fine



joking aside if its a serious question your mate is probably pissing himself as you wont need a remap

are you running stock ecu and stock setup except for a fmic ?

Technically it is true, you will need a remap to make the most of what you have done, now because the air is going to be more dense and cooler it means you can increase the ignition advance to gain more torque.



However there is no harm running it on a stock ecu.

Ecu's tend to be programmed with some form of compensation, so your able to get away with a few mods before going over the boundary. But as Russ said, another factor to consider is the cost, no one wants to be paying for a remap every time they change a small component.

Depends on your setup and but generally a quick road test with a wideband and det set will confirm everything is ok - more as a piece of mind thing if its a like for like change. As mentioned above generally most ecu's have a level of compensation related to IAT (providing they've been setup properly in the first place).

Totally agree. I beleive anyone modding their car the first thing u shud get is a wideband and det cans
