Engine temp low

So here it is i changed the headgasket on my ep91 put it back together now the temp don't go up when I'm driving but at a stand still it go to quater way where as it used to go half way if this ok or not

Well it's opening fine at 72 degrees or something round there but I don't under stand why it was half way now it isn't or it's under the line when I drive the heater work fine so I don't see why it's stay so low

You sure it's not a faulty needle? Bottom rad hose warm?

Rad hose is fine it was all fine till I changed the head gasket then run a lot cooler but still get hot air coming throught the heatera

Was it not over heating before?

No it wasn't over heating but there was a crack round one of the manifold studs so I had to change the head to stop it blowing

Broken wire going to sensor maybe?

Wires are all fine checked them

I had the same problem it was the thermo.

I have one that opens at 82 I will try it at the weekend and way would it be not opening fully or something

Sounds like thermostat to me mate my gt done it

is there heat coming through the heaters in the car when driving... ?

it sounds like a faulty thermostat.. reason why temp is dropping while driving..

Yea there is heat when driving and while still but I can on have my heater on the window or the whole car steams up even tho there's heat
