BOV / Dump Valve - Hot Pipe Side Vs. Intake Side?

I have seen some intercooler kits with the BOV on the 'Hot Pipe'

And see with the BOV just before the intake....

What's the difference? If any?

Thanks,

Andy

The theory of it says that BOV should go as close to the butterfly in the throttle body as possible

Im pretty sure GoldenVTR aka Dan is your man for this.. he has experimented both ways (lol)

I think it makes little to no difference.

Cold side, then reroute so that the blown off air comes into the intake before the turbo. Less annoying sound and less lag when changing gears or similar. Well, had a read around for half an hour and that's how it's the only legal way in germany but also the most favorable. Especially on drag or track driving with many gear changes.
