My rocker has gone flakey and I also want to change the colour, (green doesnt seem so cool any more lol!) I want to go for somthing less flash and just want a flat grey.

Whats the best way to repspray it, i need to get off the old paint some how before i can paint it?

Any suggestions

NEVER. get a rocker cover powder coated as these companies often use sand blasting equipment!

Sand gets stuck under the baffle inside the rocker cover and has been known to destroy engines!

Its happened to a few unfortunate members!

Use nitromors to get the old paint off and clean it up. Make sure you really clean it after as you won't want any nitromors left as it will obviously ruin the new paint. Then spray it using this range of VHT paints off eBay

Starting with a primer and then colour and a lacquer. I have done a lot of covers like this and they have all come out very well. And that range of VHT paint is very good and give a very good finish considering it's rattle can.

You don't have to sand it right down to metal you just need to remove the shine with scotch brite then the paint will key to it.... wet on wet primer, choice of base coat then lacquer :)

i just use a wire wheel on a drill as its not as harsh as a grinder. then tuduh, loads of primer and loads of color :)

also if you can use enamel paint
