Plug and play / stand alone ecu swap

Recommended Posts

Emb - e manage blue

Emu - e manage ultimate

The ultimate has launch control and other feature which are better suited for higher power cars I beleave don't hold me to that as I'm not 100% sure!

Have you got a standard ecu? They are cheap enough to pick up,

But yes send it to TD without the jam ....... It's going to need trailering there anyways I suppose as the engine has gone so doesn't need an ecu

I'm sure mike from TD has a few lying around from his breakers :)

Think about it mate, if you swap your end up being at a loss :-/

- jams sell for £500 all day long

- mapping cost around £250 not Inc fitting

- second hand always comes with worrys ( does it work? )

- tuning developments will over warrenty on there brand new units

- most people who sell emb have upgraded to emu so won't want to sell the harness your have to find that ( or have certain parts missing ) which is all availibale to buy new

Tbh mate in my opinion I'd find the extra £50 and get Brand new and if your having the engine rebuilt anyway you have time to sell the jam as you won't need it

James

This makes total sense and I'd highly advise following his advise.

Yes you will gwt away with the blue BUT if your talking about big turbos in future emanage tend to freak out if you go much larger than 430cc injectors, i would at least get an ultimate saves you swapping them round at a later date

Also noone in there right mind will swap a p and p for standalone

Without being cheeky skimmy do a bit of reading on what these cars are all about what ways they are tuned what required tried and tested etc i honestly dont mean that cheeky but alot of your posts your asking questions that makes me

Feel you want people to build it for you

I know its a forum and im all for helping people but do a bit of reading its nice to know what your cars doing even when its built

Think you need to decide what you want from

The car and have a look at what is required to achieve that then take ot from

There

Again not being cheeky im actually trying to help you, searchbar !

May sell my emu for the right price

Aw so I'm better with a manage ?

I would say so yes, you'll find at hard to beat the deal at TD to be fair.

I run a full standalone dta s60 and cost wise it's 2k+ in total but that's searching for power with a coil conversion, if you after sub 350bhp emu/b is more than enough

Ive got a brandnew Ecumaster standalone here that im going to sell shortly.

we had planned to set up my starlet with this and register as a UK dealer alongside Jamsport BUT the car/motorsport has taken a back seat slightly due to a new house.

We can also make you up a plug and play starlet harness if you want for it. and it comes with the mapping software.

also it has a built in 4bar map sensor/boost control/wideband so you would be able to sell whatever electronic bits and bobs you currently doing that.

Make me an offer if your interested.

same as this.

blows everything else out of the water at the price.

Shit that one sounds good ? What do you think boys ?

ill highlight the only negative... you need a local tuner that is game to map a new ecu.

if you local fellas only like Motec or Omex or whatever then you might have to travel to get sorted.

(come over here to NI and we will map it for you :)

Tell them you have the software and that the ecu has uk support via the ecumaster uk site.

It'll be much the same as any other ecu obviously,

Just to be clear - wolf omex haltech you name it all great but money wise you'd spend a load of dolla to get something similarly specced. Aze dta serious bit of kit no doubt for example.

So I'm just letting you know I've this one forsale not saying it does something others can't, just not at the money.

Lot of drag/drift cars on the continent running these with great results.
