where has my boost gone

hey i am having a real prob with keeping high boost.

when mine hits 0.9 bar it starts to drop to 0.5 bar.

has any one had this before if so pls tell me what the prob was

i need all the help i can get lol

Have you ever taken the EFI pipe off of the turbo? If so, sometimes the rubber insert can get folded over, and restricts air intake so at higher revs boost drops off. I used to have this problem, would hold 10psi to say 4500 revs then drop to 4. Took the pipe off, and the rubber insert was completely bent over. Fixed it, and holds 10psi perfectly now.

Failing that, check for any leaks anywhere. Or its just your ct9 is running out of power in the higher rev range.

have you recently upgraded your actuator?

if not, ill bet you money thats the issue. if you have replaced it with the hks model, check the tension on the spring, if it isnt wound on properly it will leak some pressure.

As Rick stated, i bet youre running the stock actuator.There absolute p!ss holding pressure.

If you have an uprated item, check for leaks in the basic places, turbo lines, intercooler etc.

as far as i no its not been changed but i am looking in to getting the HKS one as i am wanting to do a few modds under the bonnet.

i am peed off about the boost as i got done by a 106 gti lol

As rick stated, youre actuator arm might not be adjusted well, OR the hks actuators spring has died over time.

How old is the hks actuator ?

Read what I suggested up. A few of us over at TGTT have had this problem, and its an easy fix that makes a lot of difference.
