Hey guys found a local scrappy with a rolla intake and exhaust manifold

Just wondering what are the benifits of swapping to these and how are they a staright swap? Cheers

your probably looking at around 60bhp for the intake and 30bhp for the exhaust, yeah they bolt straight on, but you might need a bit of selotape to hold them on, as selotape is stronger than nuts/bolts.

While your at it, get some viper stripes, they give you a good 10bhp.... per stripe!!!

Wow!!! Serious gains will have to stop off at my local staples get some seloptape if all else fails i have gaffa tape ;)

Some sound advice there :/

Thank you not looking for serious power gains more throttle reaponse and torque range really are there any guides on how to fit these i have looked but to no avail?

Swap the bits over like in this photo, and just un-bolt your old manifold from the engine and throttle body, and then bolt on the corolla mani back onto the engine and TB.

If you can get the Throttle Body to go with the corolla manifold that would be a bonus, so you don't need to make any modification to the throttle cable.

Exhaust system is just bolt off and bolt on, get some new exhaust rubbers whilst your at it :)

Thanks sir ill have to see if the throttle body is available tooif that makes it easier to fit im guessing new caskets are needed for the exhaust manifold too?

So its not a direct fit? How much welding or modifying is needed? And is it worth while ie cost effective?

May just stick with the intake manifold upgrade are there any exhaust manifolds for the na starlet seen few decat ones but they are all glanza ones

Cut the corolla mani on the 2-1 so you have a short single pipe from the Y piece, then cut the pipe on your exhaust to match. tack, remove fully weld and replace :) Or do the same but add flanges to make it removable but the 4-2-1 corolla mani splits at the 4-2/2-1 part anyway
