  1. Newman cams will do any spec you want for £160 plus VAT
  2. i've got a feeling the throttle bodies on the 20v will be in the way of the master cylinder
  3. yeah i was planning on keeping the box in the same position, just cutting away the chassis leg. No point in making custom driveshafts, as i need easy to find spares. Ive gotta keep 1600cc, anyone ever fitted a 20v into a RHD? or is the master cylinder in the way?
  4. its a Cusco LSD. Cheers for that, Rallycross this weekend, i was defo short of power with the 5E, so i think a 4A-GE is next just couldnt keep up with the beams engine'd MR2 on the straights
  5. The thing is, I have a starlet box with LSD, I want to keep the box, and fit a 4AGE engine.
  6. Hi all, Will a FWD corolla, or MR2 4AGE bellhousing fit onto a starlet/Glanza box? Cheers
  7. piston rings, like bearings, wear out. You can get a honing tool from machine mart, cheap and easy to use, Piston rings are £50 the set from general traffic, Its cost effective to do it all at once, honing the bores piston rings and lapping the valves makes a big difference to the power and smooth running of your motor. It will be like a new engine. Plus removing the coke from the piston tops will lower the temp a huge amount, allowing you to run extra boost without detonation.
  8. your probably looking at around 60bhp for the intake and 30bhp for the exhaust, yeah they bolt straight on, but you might need a bit of selotape to hold them on, as selotape is stronger than nuts/bolts. While your at it, get some viper stripes, they give you a good 10bhp.... per stripe!!!
  9. actually a Ranger is a Mazda with Ford badges
  10. the ranger is 1999, I took the body off and restored the chassis, alltho thats a UK truck, they do have rangers in the US but LHD. 2WD rangers drift for fun! and the S10 is 1993, Same with that, took the body off, painted chassis and body The 20's are a bit too gangsta, so i got some early 90's Boyd coddington 17x10 3 spokes for that OG look. engine is 170bhp 300lb+, so awesome for towing the rally car and loaded with spares. You can pick up S10's from around £3K, not too bad for getting parts, get them shipped over from USAutomotive or ebay.
  11. if its spun the bearing, the crank will defo be scored, so need a regrind, and oversize bearings. if your doing all thatn work, you might as well take the head off, and clean all the pistons, hone the bores and stick new rings in, Lap the valves in and new stem seals, then you will have an engine that will really last and be back to origional power.
  12. Its off the road at the moment, gearbox has died, lost all its oil out of the torque converter... trying to save up to fix it, but not much luck at the moment with cash needed to fix the engine in the rally car, the wifes smart car engine rebuilding, and delorean resto.. lol
  13. ford ranger single cab 2wd 2.5 n/a diesel. most reliable car i have ever owned! ran on cooking oil too! Slammed it, so it was easy to put stuff in the back I sold it and got a Chevy S10 4.3L, great for towing, burnouts, and pretty quick for a truck
  14. yeah will do. i live above normans, i got the pink chevy pickup, and theres a dead paseo outside too. All my other cars are in my garage
  15. no, just alters the range of the map sensor to think its under more load,

  17. yup think about all the dirt on the outside of your car.... thats going inside your engine if you run without a filter. Drag car, fair enough, its going 1/4 mile. Daily car, no way,
  18. resistor on the map sensor to up the fueling
  19. step 1. take old engine out. step 2. put new engine in.
  20. ive used brake caliper paint, works really well, if your doing a real nice engine, then single pack and 2k laquer. All depends on the prep, how much dirt/oil is left on the block.
  21. auto transmission fluid, cheap, and does the job
  22. found a place on ebay/china around £60, I'll try one of those.... skimmed so much off the head that it defo needs cams aligning.
  23. yup correct. i dont see the point in spending loads on an engine if your not going to race it.
