Lew91 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I'm in no hurry for any parts but just seeing what's available atm. What I need is: Gt thermostat housing with sensors nut/bolts etc Oil cap (oem if poss)Oem Crank pulley with no cracks or chips. Looking to forge the engine as well so if any one has some new forged parts there wanting to sell let me know. Cheers
Lew91 Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 I'm half way through taking the head off I've had problems finding all my tools as my shed sort of looks like your garage did lol. I'll be doing some more to it in a bit tho, the head will be off tonight so I'll get some pics up.

The rest are ok but I'm not to sure what to do about this.
MARC MOSS Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 She will be fine lol after a rebore , number three piston got a crack at all?
Lew91 Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 The bores are a bit crusty but they should be ok. I haven't got that far yet. I'll start on the bottom end tonight and get some more pics up. Other then the cam the rest of the head is pretty good tho
Lew91 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 She will be fine lol after a rebore , number three piston got a crack at all?Number 1 piston was fucked along with the bore lol, I might get away with 75mm pistons in there but I'm not holding out much hope. I'll let the machine shop be the judge on that. The crank needs a regrind really as it's pretty heavily scored but I wouldn't say it's fucked. Still not sure what to do about the cam tho? Any way, piston:A couple of Bottom bearings (there all pretty much the same but you get the idea ha):
Lew91 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 Oh yeah it's pretty shagged. Was a right basterd to get out to. I'll pop it all down the machine shop when I get 5 mins and see what the think
Lew91 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 I've got a couple more bits to add. Need one of these as it was seized on the crank and I had to beat it off. Also need the bolt that holds the crank pulley on however the threads inside the crank look rusted out does any one know if a larger bolt can be used instead?
Lew91 Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 I've cracked a deal on all the above parts apart from the thermostat housing and sensors, it must be complete tho
