Keeping the wastegate penny shut

Hi everyone I've gone down the route of ewg and will be going td04 when the funds are ready. I've made a bracket to hold the wastegate shut but I'm not 100% it's properly sealed would the standard actuator hold it in position if it's not piped up ??

You weld the waste gate shut mate if you are running a ewg. Remove the actuator completely.

I just welded the flappy bit on the actuator to the solid mount. Then the actuator cant open and close, seals fine and means you can reuse the turbo internally gated too

Thanks a lot matey I just didn't fancy stripping it down since I'm going td04 soon and I've seen a few brackets that some company's make to keep them shut. Can it be welded whist on the car if I remove the decat and a few other things to make space ?? Thanks alex

Depending on the kit yeh, i re welded mine on the car with everything on

Yeh got someone to push it right across as if the actuator was keeping it closed with a spanner or something. Then do a tack weld then put a big bit of weld and will hold for ages
