Bellhousing swap?

Hi all,

Will a FWD corolla, or MR2 4AGE bellhousing fit onto a starlet/Glanza box?

Yes they will. Depending on the bearings you may need to change them too but a turbo bell housing into a 4age box should match up

The thing is,
I have a starlet box with LSD, I want to keep the box, and fit a 4AGE engine.

A 4age box has the same 8 bolt diff as a starlet turbo so the diff itself is interchangeable. Or as mentioned before. Just swap the bell housings

Unless you have an oem lsd box then I doubt he bell housings or the diffs are interchangeable.

its a Cusco LSD.

Cheers for that, Rallycross this weekend, i was defo short of power with the 5E, so i think a 4A-GE is next

just couldnt keep up with the beams engine'd MR2 on the straights

Sounds like a plan! You will need to notch the drivers chassis leg unless you move the whole plant position but then you have to change drive lengths etc

yeah i was planning on keeping the box in the same position, just cutting away the chassis leg.

No point in making custom driveshafts, as i need easy to find spares.

Ive gotta keep 1600cc, anyone ever fitted a 20v into a RHD? or is the master cylinder in the way?

They should be the same.. I'm sure there is a 20v starlet on here.. Might be morgey above.. Should be same as a paseo?

i've got a feeling the throttle bodies on the 20v will be in the way of the master cylinder
