kavan-k
Right the glanza has had a mountain of work done for the test, including discs and pads all round, handbrake wasnt great so I thought the breaks needed bedding in, but they are truly shit at the back and the cable is tightened, any ideas? Quick fix maybe? I dont wanna fail
Idrees
Is the cable working? Take it off the caliper and pull the cable with a pair of pliers to see if it moves.
kavan-k
Cables fine as far as I know Iddy, mechanic fitted and tested it and said it was 100%, someone said there is something at the back of the caliper that can seize?
kavan-k
I hope I dont need a caliper!
karl.
The same happened me after fitting new discs and pads at the back for a better handbrake which ended up no better at all. What happened was the handbrake was adjusted too much inside the car so the caliper couldn't actually release. I means I have to pull it up a bit more but it actually holds now. So take off the centre console bit and release the cables and unscrew it then tighten from there
kavan-k
So just loosen then tighten it Karl?
karl.
Loosen it then tighten it to u think its good enough. Take it completely off inside the car and let all the tension off it and put it back on

kavan-k
Came out with a bigger list this time than the last one.. sick of spending money on this car, as much as I love them the money I have spent and its still not ready is a joke. Completely dis-heartened over this thing, if only we were like England where you drive into a garage instead of these shitty test centres where they fail you on everything imaginable. . Not a happy camper today
