kevmcc90
Yeah I've been trying that just now but they are saying they can't just go on my word that the car isn't what it is said to be?
DavidAshton
Don't worry about it most are registered not quite right. Just insure it properly and you won't get any hassle. Edited July 28, 2014 by DavidAshton
kevmcc90
The issue is my car has been written off and they are only going to pay out 650 quid due to it being registered as a starlet s. I was told to contact toyota by dvla for the correct details but they have no information on car, so it is toyota in japan I need to contact but cannot find an email address anywhere? Help?! DavidAshton
Get a better insurance company. Sky by any chance?
kevmcc90
Yep sky insurance mate
DavidAshton
Thought as much, seen it somewhere else on here where someone was having similar issue. Shame you don't find out how good your insurance company is until the worst happens. If you have insured it as a Glanza and paid the premium for a Glanza I don't see how they can dispute it. When mine was written off no one even mentioned V5. I'd just kick up a massive fuss and keep asking to speak to someone higher up until they stop being stupid. I hope they are not still a trader on here.
morgey
Insurance companies will always try and get out of paying out any way possible. Sky, adrian flux etc etcIf theyre being fussy they'll even pick up on colour changes
kevmcc90
Mate I've caused a fuss and spoke to everyone possible ain't budging until I get proof of what car is. Idiots
morgey
Try typing your vin number in here. Then forward that to them if it workshttp://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q.html
kevmcc90
I'll give it a try when I'm home mate cheers
kevmcc90
Just did it there as had vin number on my phone and it came up with glanza so I'll forward that and see what they say
morgey
Well if toyota cant help thats the best thing I can suggest. I would try some other toyota dealerships as they will be your best bet for proof. Or even get them to use that website and print you a letter on headed paper confirming the details of your car from that site. The parts dept are better than the receptionists at my local dealership tbh
