primesera
How doo guys. Could anyone listen to my engine from the YouTube link and tell me if they think it's serious or just a noise from it not running regularly for the past 2 years ( probably been started 5 times in 2 1/2 years)>http://youtu.be/bcW0BXi8YsgI remember the engine always being a little tappy, probably the normal noise but it does seem to be noisier than I remember. I think the noise is coming from the bottom pulley area, my first thought was the water pump but I'm not so sure now. The noise seems to only be on tick over.Any thoughts would be great Edited September 2, 2014 by primesera
mattglanza79
Don't wanna alarm you mate and someone else might shed some light but mine was doin similar. Sounded like a loose brkt. Then the shells went
Sefton-EP91
Mine made the same noise. Mine was the bottom pulley catching on the timing cover on the bottom. Whilst the engine is running just push just above the bottom pulley on the timing belt cover. Be careful obviously because the engine will be running. When I done this the noise went. And as soon as you let go the noise comes back. Hope this helps mate
Matt1878
Mine currently does this bot not quite as noticeable. The lower cambelt case has warped due to engine heat and catches on the pulley.
primesera
Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping it's just the case cover rather than the shells :-)I'll start it tomorrow night and check
