turboloon
awright guys i know i will have to get my car remppped, but i have recently swapped too a external wastegate set up on a td05 with 460 cc injectors, the car is currently still running the td04 map,my question is on my hand commander it was showing 72% duty cycle, and my a/f gauge was showing afr's of aprox 12 so fueling was good i this was running at 1.8 bar,so i am assuming everything was safe...highest reading i seen on my knock was about 50...i have had the car checked prevouisly for high knock but matty said that everything was ok when he checked with the det cans ,just 'phantom knock'..i.e. other background noise.. rwdrev
460's? thought you had 550's?
turboloon
nope 460's rev,and only 72% duty cycle when i was hitting 1.8 bar..so hopefully i'll be able to max the td05 out on them..;)
maddox710
The idea is not too Max them, maxing them while pushing more boost will just end with a bang
mikey4410
Dude 12 afr is pretty close to danger.stick to 11.
jayc-glanza17
Theirs more to tuning and mapping then air fuel mixture guys.Just get it mapped quickly as possible mate and dont boost it, personally no need to drive it, keep the risk as low as possible. mikey4410
I totally agree jay, just saying if hes running 12s its not far of danger / detting. As jay said get it done properly, youll only regret not popping to tuner .
AdamB
12's is fine providing the intake air temp is good which I would imagine it will be on a more efficient blower.Still needs mapped though Edited September 13, 2014 by AdamB
turboloon
Yeah i realise it needs mapped guys...was just curious of the readings ...
jayc-glanza17
to give you an idea. I run 11.9 at full chat on my hybrid 18g. also check your current afr, with what the dyno says, may prove afr reader is faulty is misleading for future safety reasons.
