raddys1
Just got a cusco lsd box to go in my glanza running 170-200 bhp (approx)I'm not running silly brake so I don't want to pay £300 for a stage 2 clutchSo I'm thinking of a standard exedy clutch (heard mixed stories about stage 1 so il leave that)Is there anything else I need to doSomeone said about skimming the plate? Also what gear oil, will 75-90 do?Regards
maddox710
If you're buying a new clutch why would you need to skim the pressure plate? As far as gear oil goes that's a great idea
raddys1
Well that's what I was thinking because surely the new clutch would bed into the old plate, just that some1 said get it skimmed so it don't shudder :S I'm abit of a noob when it comes to glanzas and tuning
raddys1
Sorry not plate, I meant does the flywheel need skimming
Gilly
If your getting a new clutch its an idea to skim the flywheel face so it has a fresh surface for the clutch to bed in properly. If the pennys do stretch to it i would get a paddle clutch just to make things easier if you wanted to go for more power in the future. Depending on how you drive the car the LSD will put more strain on the clutch also. I am running a Cusco MZ 1-way diff and its lovely and the oil i use is redline 75w-90s non Slip. you can only get it in bottles fractionally just under a litre but two bottles will be enough.
