TheStig
What's your Rim and Tire combo for the drag track?I just bought an Ep82 Starlet and planing on a massive turbo upgrade. So the main limitation would be the launch/wheel spin. I couldn't find much detail's on full slicks that are best for my car, on this forum. Im currently running on semi slicks P225/50R15, still get a lot of wheel spin till 3rd gear..I heard M&H are the best but a little too big for me at 60 Pic and Full Specifications please, also would be great to see the timing you got with it as well. Also if possible a link to where you purchased it. Thank you.
yaristurbo
What's the spec of the car nowPower and suspension
mikey4410
R888s would be an obvious choice. They start at 50profile and fatter so will be fine for yourself.I have experienced the grip from these when hot and its mind boggling to say the least.
TheStig
Currently Running 300hp with racing shocks, still getting a lot of wheel spin till 3rd gear. Im currently running on semi slicks.Need full slicks cuz going to upgrade till 400-450hp with bigger turbo.. Need your input on what tires would fit my starlet GT?These are my current specs on the tires P225/50R15, but looking for full slicks that would fit my car. I dont mind a smaller rim size if the tires are better..
AdamB
What ecu and boost controller setup are you using? I would probably use some boost by gear control.Wider tyres do not give you more grip by the way. All they do is increase the unsprung mass. What times is it your trying to set on the drag and what's your best ET so far?Reason I ask is going for more power isn't the right option, it's chassis setup that's the way forward. I suggest you take a look at Harry's GT build thread. He has only been running like 240bhp and managed 10 second quarters. Another option is Hoosier tyres. Either talk to Harry or either Zisco and ECC as they are the main people that run full slicks so will be able to advise for sizes better than I can.
jordan walker
do you have an lsd? if not I would consider one of them first or if its sole purpose is for drag racing and you don't need to live with it every day weld your diff.
