5e colin Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 if your on a budget you could do this like i did , can be done to any manni if you can weld a bit al you need is then small section of pipe and 90% corner and a flange with waste gate and weld up the penny in the turbo can al be done for under 100
Beany GT Posted October 25, 2014 Author Posted October 25, 2014 Yeah, I've got a mig welder, an I can weld, never really thought of a DIY, which is strange seen as I built a full cage, an other parts for my old car. Do you have more info/pics? Be a good read up Also what else did you need? Any parts I've missed off the list?
5e colin Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 dont have more pics sorry , but you need 2x 100x50mm x10 metal plate 2 x 90% bend and small strait pipe ( depends where you locate the wastegate ) and wa manni your adding to thats it really
mikey4410 Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 To weld a wastegate up on a ct9 you need high nickel content tig rods as its best with iron housingsthey are expensive rods and a pain to weld.if you dont use nickel cracks and splitting away occurs.
