M-R-P Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I'm after the 3-ball thingy You know the one, the inner CV. I don't think it makes any difference weather it's manual or auto, turbo or NA but if it does, mines an auto NA Cash waiting Thanks, Martin.
5e colin Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 i do think na and turbo is diferent ???? turbo shafts are thicker then na if you cant get sorted a complete turbo shaft will fit
M-R-P Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 Ello col Every day's a schoolday mate ;) Don't fancy paying out for a new shaft tbh, it's not completely screwed yet - in fact, I'm not 100% it's the CV but I have my suspicions. Gonna pull it all apart later and see what's what.
5e colin Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 if in doubt hit it with the heavy hammer :) when u open it measure the thicknes where the splines are i have a nacked shaft lying around ere to measure if turbo and na is same ??

Has it got the 3-ball thingy on it? Considering the same auto box is used for the turbo and NA cars, I'd have thought they'd be the same but who knows. (probably someone lol)
JamesD89 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 They are different shafts between turbo and n/a auto boxes mate. Only reason I know is that I bought a n/s driveshaft from a auto starlet s and was assured they were the same and it did not fit.

Ah, ok, thanks for the info I still need to confirm what the problem is but I know one thing... I'm not paying £237 from my local stealer!
