gaztop101 Posted December 4, 2014 Share Posted December 4, 2014 hope this is the right forum to post in, but i need to replace the rear crankshaft oil seal because ive got oil dripping from bottom of gearbox housing, is it a diy job, if so how do i do it, all comments much appreciated. daniel_g Posted December 4, 2014 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Remove the gearbox, clutch kit and flywheel, remove the seal (there is a special tool or just use a flathead screwdriver, or put a self tapper in it and pry against it to pop the seal out) Put a film of oil around the new seal and tap it in. Rebuild in opposite order.Worth replacing the clutch whilst youre at it because it may be contaminated with oil from the seal leaking. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
