Aamir Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Hi all,Sorry if this is in the wrong section (not sure where to post it). But basically my petrol flap won't open, when I pull the latch I can here it trying to open but it won't open. So I removed the passenger side plastic the little one. And pulled/pushed the cable and it just came straight out. So yeah, just trying to fiquire out how I can fix this without having to open the boot and get a screwdriver down the inside to flick it open. Phase anyone had the same problem? Thank youAamir Quote
5e colin Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 the metal bit on the flap might be bent just pull the lever and let some1 els open the flap then bend the little metal bit that produces tension Quote
bdohohh Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 this happens to mine all the time. What seemed to fix mine was as above, pulling the little metal bit back to where it was meant to be Quote

5e colin Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 ok see if the pin retracts when you pull the lever it might be damaged behind there cant be much else amir Quote
Aamir Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 I'll have a look tonight and see if it works. Aamir Quote
Aamir Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 I'll open it for you So whenever I need to put fuel in my car I'll take you with me? I just want it to open like normal rather than having to poke a screwdriver into the side to open it ffs Aamir Quote
kbond Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Yeah there should be a little spring bit on the inside failing that with my first na I put a sponge in there so when I pulled the lever it opened it enough then after if you spill any you can mop it up ;) Quote
