Handbrake doesnt fully disengage

Hi guys, found my passenger rear caliper was sticking. Put new piston seal and all the dust boots on and the wheel turns freely, once i connected the handbrake cable back up the piston side pad seems to rub the disc and causes noise when driving. Is there a way to adjust one side of the handbrake so itll return fully or is there another issue? Cheers, Matt

is your cable releasing ok? there bad for handbrake cables seizing up

yeh cable seems to release ok, just doesnt seem to release far enough. Once I take the handbrake cable from off the caliper its fine but I have to move the arm slightly to connect the cable up.

check the spring on the rear caliper, this is what gives it the tension to go back into place, My mate refurbed his caliper on the rar and had similar issue

Is there any kind of adjustment for the spring or just a case of replacing it?

the spring sit in a certain way, you can disconnect the cable and push the handbrake mechanism with a screwdriver or your hand and then you will see why its not retracting

I'll take a look at it when i get a chance. Can the cable be adjusted without adjusting the pair or is it only from the front? If the spring is fine of course.
