hi there, i want to purchase this starlet glanza below, as you know probably may know i am a new member :yahoo: here are the specs below;

Toyota starlet 4EFTE Glanza V Turbo Engine
CT9 Turbo
Manual Transmision

the car is in good condition overall and it also starts, the price for the car is £2,450

my question is that, is the car worth the price ? as you know this will be my first time owning a glanza, i have done my research but i want some opinions of the car before i proceed further it would be really helpful :thumbsup: and hope i don't sound greedy but can anyone do a HPI check of the car thanks hope to hear from you guys soon.

Price sounds about right.

HPI check will only tell you so much. Seen a few starlets crash damaged repaired outwith the insurance companies.

Best thing you can do is take a mechanic mate down or someone who knows starlets really well to have a look over it.

Failing that i think the AA do a kinda used car check for a few quid.

It does look like one of that guys adverts, he always lists shit like power windows and hi/lo boost button to beef up the spec a bit haha.

Few people on here have bought cars off him that have then blew up on the way home, others have got cars off him and his brothers or whoever they are and the cars have been fine..

Yeah true, anyways im from leeds its like a 4 hour drive there and 4 hour drive back. Im going to drive it back aswell so will it be worth it or forget it ? because its abit of a gamble! From what i have herd about this guy

Yeah true mate, what about the price is it okay ? And whats the most important thing to look out for when buying a starlet glanza? Also it will be a 4 hour journey, because im from leeds ? Shall i put it on a recovery truck on the way back or drive it back ?

Make sure turbo isnt smokey, good compression brakes work well clutch feels good. Same as most cars tbf.

If i thought a car wouldnt make a four hour journey i wouldn't buy it!!

Yeah i would mate i done a deal on a starlet before he drove half way it all seemed mint and i got it home it cooled down wouldnt start then and it was low on compression
