Djaniero
Hey lads, I'm replacing my boost gauge with an autometer one. My current gauge has 4 wires where as the new autometer one just has 2 (1 black wire 1 white wire). Is this normal? Electonics is'nt one of strongest points :s
adzy
Your old one will have a map sensor then, and the new one I take it is analogue so white will be the back light signal (from sidelights etc) and black will be earth
Djaniero
Not too sure about a map sensor. iirc, there was earth, ignition live, illumination and cant remember what the fourth wire was now.
Bug679
Was it constant live ? I know my greddy one has live ign. and constant live has a map sensor as well but yea white illumination and black earth
Djaniero
So could I just cut the old wires from my current gauge and then just wire the new one into the ignition live wire and earth wires?..and tape up the 2 wires left?
Bug679
Ya I wouldn't see a problem with that 👍🏻
