patman
Hello gang just need alittle advice please, Was under the bonnet today changing air filter and as you do while your there checking hoses plugs and sensors, I put my hand on the icv sensor only for one of the wires to come out (due to age must be being brittle as redone other sensor wires that pop out the hole). Obviously I will get it redone ASAP and connect the wire back up, but my question is will the car be ok to run like that for the next few days, have been out in it since and car just runs normal like it should not even high idle, thanks pat
Ollieh17
Removed my idle control valve and blanked it off. Car ran alot better
patman
Hey Ollie yeah heard people doing this, what did you do with the sensor? (Just tuck it away) plus the hole in the side of the inlet? And the pipe bit what goes into the bottom of the icv?
Ollieh17
Pulled it off, cut wires out, tapped a whole in the inlet and put a bolt in it, then just blanked off the vac hose st the inlet
