Standard Mk2 GT seats advice

could someone please tell me, is the drivers side top half of the seat the same as the passengers side top half of the seat, other day snapped a bolt when tightening my drivers side (there's two bolts either side to hold the top half of the seat in) and for now if there both the same will swap them over.

I am pretty sure they are the same yeah.

I put GT seat backs onto EP85 seat bases and made no difference being the drivers side or passenger side seat back.

Only thing is i had to burst all the threads to get to the bolts.. :/

That's an absolute bummer mate but I take it you got it sorted and thankyou for the info will give it ago today bolt must of been in there years as only tightened it alittle and snap, top of bolt came off.
