Ruddi444
Anyone got any advice when removing the standard steering wheel apart from disconnecting battery, swapping the wheel for a better condition one and unsure how it comes off? Any help would be great thanks
FrozenJakalope
There's 2 screws on the bottom of the wheel, once those are out you can yank the airbag and get to the boss. Pretty straightforward, you shouldn't have any issues. Like you said, make sure you disconnect the battery first as you don't want the bag to punch you for removing it. StuDoc 72
make sure you leave the nut on a few threads when your pulling it off if its tight. Unless you like broken noses in which case just take the nut right off lol.
aleximport25
i got told that the battery needs disconnecting 20 mins before removing the wheel unsure how true that is but cant hurt surely :-)
StuDoc 72
Wouldnt say it needs to be that long but like you say extra safety will never hurt. it's just to allow the capacitors to drain. Edited August 7, 2015 by StuDoc

5T4R7ET N/A
Just to let you know that the screws that hold the airbag are star shape screws After loosening the screws you might have to pull on the airbag and undo the screws to get airbag off
