Countryman
I'm in the process of changing the manifold turbo intercooler and decat pipe and doing a full service as well. I've drained all the oil from engine, removed the rad and pipes off the rad for the auto box so there is no oil in engine and water has been drained for the cooling system. I've also lost some atf from the rad removal. Someone said make sure I prime the turbo. (Don't know what or how to prime)So I was wondering once everything is fitted back on is there something I've got to do like prime or just fit everything back put the pipes back, top up engine with oil, change air/oil filters, spark plugs, thermostat, atf and coolant etc?Any suggestions are welcome
adzy
From what I understand when your ready to start up, disconnect your king lead and crank the engine until you see oil coming out of the turbo oil return
daniel_g
When its all ready to start, to prime the turbo you gotta,Pull the king lead offPull out the EFI fusePull the oil return line off the sump and crank over till oil starts coming outSome turbos come with a syringe full of oil to inject into the turbo aswell.
