Help with cooling fan for half size radiator

Little brief on my car. Does very little miles, more of a dry weather toy, not a daily

I bought a cooling fan and shroud assembly off of eBay at the end of February to fit my half sized civic radiator, similar to this one

All was fine and the car has been running fine up till Sunday.

I was sitting idle at traffic lights and heard a loud pop, I pulled over and discovered that this fan had broken, making a horrible rattling noise when the fan is spinning

Wondered what fan setup you guys/girls are running with your half sized radiators and where to get one from as I'm not really confident buying another eBay one for obvious reasons

all them fans are probably manufactured in the same factory in china

You probably just have had a bad one from the supplier ?

any warranty on this ?

I've emailed the seller yesterday and asked the question. Would have expected it to have lasted a bit longer than it did

Just wondered if there were any better quality ones worth concidering

Im going to be running the old fan from my air con.

3 screws on the fan take it off. Drill out the centre so that it can fit flush and bolt it back on the other way to change the direction of it.

I run essentially the same as the above on both my GT's. never had a problem, likely you just got a bad one unfortunately

Just try another slimline fan, most 12" slimline rad fan will fit and they're usually less than £20.

Still sucks though...

Ok cool, thanks for the feedback folks. Looks like I'll just need to order another one
