I've got an OE headgasket on my forged 4e.

Pistons are pec 74.5mm

I'm concerned that I should of used a larger bore gasket. It runs absolutely spot on though so should I be worried?

I'm also going to be running 250+ hp will the OE gasket be good enough or should be change to an athena gasket

Thanks

Don't bother with the oe composite gasket it with just blow. I'd run a stock size athena mls gasket

It won't just blow but if it does you'll kick yourself for not putting a mls gasket in place

Yeah I reckon it would be best to change it then. I will whip the head off over winter when im not using it much and get a metal gasket on there to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the advice guys :-)

The gasket bore should be 0.5mm larger than the cylinder bore.

You would be pushing the boundaries using OEM gasket 1.4 bar, but that depends how well the head is clamped down.
