A silly question to some but not for others.

Is there any particular way you have to fit the driveshafts?

Maybe a circlip you have to bypass for them to be tight etc I would assume they just slot in either side (Hub and gearbox). Job done!!

Reason I ask is, since my engine build I have this small knocking when going over small bumps, I raised the car up at work and the passenger driveshaft has play in it. You can shake the shaft (a small amount) enough for it to knock about.

I hope the above statement isn't too confusing.

If that's the case my joints must be knackered, they don't knock when turning but going over bumps they knock.

I can actually make the driveshaft knock with the car raised!
