JDMfreak Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 haha was written on cam belt cover when belt was done im gonna order valve stem sills see how it goes ive after putting too much into it now not to do it so might be rebuilt up yet Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Age could also be a factor, these engine are now at least 15 years old. Valve stem seals and piston rings are the most common problem. If it smoke on idle it could just need pcv valve on rocker cover? Quote
JDMfreak Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 I know these engine are getting on now aswell im gonna chuck a set of valve stem seals in it to eliminate them I think the smoke on idle is more condensation tbh as it gotten fairly cold these last few weeks pcv valve is working fine Quote
JDMfreak Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) heres a quick video today I took of the car just ticking over clearly you can see the smoke is bluehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=sm1kFxsTI-g Edited October 30, 2015 by JDMfreak Quote
5e colin Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 it could be the Vstem seals the other option is the oil scrapers are gunked up i have seen that on plenty of 4efe fte that makes them smoke to Quote
JDMfreak Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 that's what I was thinking colin but I notice when its cold it does this when it warms up seems grand going to order valve stem seals and get a big can of oil and some engine cleaner for the oil engine flush or something see if I can clean the engine up internally get it to clear any gunk inside the engine out Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Forte engine flush is good for that.Make sure you read the instructions. Quote
