Paddybulldog
We have had our 1.3 Starlet for a few months now and one thing I've noticed is an annoying judder when pulling away. It seems to be worse when the car is cold. Anyone have any ideas what it might be or any thing I can check?Any help appreciated

Bug679
Funny enough had my box off today to change release bearing and noticed the splined hub on friction plate is loose and it's doing the same as you describe. Juddering taking off. Ya could be looking at a new clutch. Is there any noise when your driving ?

It seems to be better if you give a bit more revs on take off and then the judder seems to go away. Only does it when pulling away in 1st gearCheck engine/gearbox mounts.I'll try have a look next time I'm off
