aleximport25 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hey all, right so I've started stripping down my back calipers to Change all the seals I've removed the piston and boot but can't work out how to get the rest of the assembly out? I've got a basic guide and it mentions using a sst tool ?Thanks Alex. Quote
morgey Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Theres a circlip down the bottom of the piston cavity that needs removing to get them bits out. once that stuffs out the arm/rod that comes in from the outside where the handbrake lever is should come out. Quote
aleximport25 Posted December 12, 2015 Author Posted December 12, 2015 Awesome cheers buddy I've seen that but the manual was confusing things 😂 Quote
morgey Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Manual whats one of them? Haha i just faffed about till it came apart lol Quote
Johnboy GT Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Get a decent set of circlip pliers for putting it back together. The set I have, have quite worn tips and it proved a bloody nightmare assembling it again!John Quote
aleximport25 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 i just heard a few stories of them being a nightmare so I got a manual to help but doesn't haha. Looks like I'm off out to get some circlip pliers 😂 Quote
aleximport25 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 So I've got the circlip out along with the threaded part but can't get the rest out ? Quote
Johnboy GT Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 The part where the handbrake cable goes on, if you take off the 'U' off and pull out the piston part you will get the rest out.John Quote
