Jakemb96
I've been interested in these cars for a while, there this one parked at my girlfriends close, but apparently been there for 9 months and not moved. I don't know if it's been started every now and then but go with worst case and it hasn't. Could anyone tell me if it'll still be healthy if I take it off his hands? Obviously the battery will be flat, but is the turbo gonna be knackered be sat that long and the oil and brakes all shot?
daniel_g
Maybe best asking the owner of the car whats wrong with it?If theres no underlying issue and its just been parked and not moved then you could probably get away with-charge the battery-pump up the tyres-free off the brakes, handbrake cables-prime the turbo-then do the usual checks, compression, check hoses for cracks, oil leaks etc.
Calum122
Mines been sat on my drive for 12 months. Doesn't mean it's broken, I just don't drive it.
Jakemb96
The owners and older gentleman, it's his sons car but his son doesn't live with him or have a licence otherwise I'd ask what condition it was in when it was bought. Cheers for the replies anyway will all keep that in mind when I test it next week! Cheers
