New turbo problem??

Recommended Posts

Had my hybrid fitted today got the car started and began smoking badly straight away. Got underneath and there was oil leaking from the C'clip that goes around the turbo. It's a brand new turbo. Any idea what the problem is. The lad who fitted it said the oil seal was gone on the turbo but it's a brand new turbo.

Im sure folk would use this to slate them.

Truth is in any sector of the market there will be faulty products they can be judged on how they handle that scenario and based on this I would say quite well.

Glad its been a good outcome. That said. The boy you had fit it did he prime the turbo prior to starting the engine?

yes everything was done by the book, priming and preparing. It's the same guy I've used for years with never any issues what so ever with this being the first.
