I'm 50/50 now as I am a purist, that's why I always wanted one. But I like to push the envelope as well. It'll be at japfest looking shit hot either way ;)

This is the way to go mate, this lad put his car back to standard after he modified it, if you do mods mate at least keep all your bits:-)

Crazy read that! Feeling inspired and impatient for it to arrive now. Wonder how I'd get on finding rare parts for a 71 though :/

Just takes time mate but they always come up and you've just got to be the first to see them ;) that's how i've scored a lot of rare bits. If i were you i'd make it nice and original but if it ever has engine trouble you could always get it forged and run more power while keeping it looking original. Even a map on it's own would see decent gains and all would still look standard.
