Lowest most comfortable suspension setup for road use
matt1986 replied to matt1986's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Thanks Shyam! Just in the process of putting in the TRD dampers, I can already see the height difference which I'm not liking! Extra inch or so.. Will have them fully fitted tomorrow, it's looking like meister's are for me though. Can actually articulate now what I meant by the title of this post, I'm looking for the 'sweet spot' between lowered, handling and comfort, by the sounds of it meister's will do the job for me. -
Lowest most comfortable suspension setup for road use
matt1986 replied to matt1986's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Hi all, thanks for the feedback! I have a much better idea now! I'm currently running 14" weds (185, 60 R14 Uniroyals), have the option of 15" rotas. Prefer 14" though. Hey Shyam, did you buy your Meister's new or used? -

Lowest most comfortable suspension setup for road use

Hi Daniel, thanks for that, forgot to say I'm in Ireland, pretty much same roads though. Might check the cusco's tomorrow to see have I burst them already! Think I will fit the dampers and see how I go, thanks again! -
Hi all, I'm looking for advice on the lowest and most comfortable setup up for use on my ep91 turbo. Currently I'm running cusco coilovers, which I have set to about an inch gap between the tyre and the arch all round. Which is the height I want, Only problem is, it is horrible to drive, stiff doesn't even describe it! I also have a set of TRD adjustable dampers and TRD springs (KYB's). I haven't tested them on the car yet. Any help would be much appreciated! Am I better off with the right damper and spring setup, or would people recommend different coilovers. I don't bring it to the trac

Race spec an-8 cam cover (custom baffle plate)
matt1986 replied to mark1991's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Hi, do you mind me asking what the baffle plate is for? Also, I have a standard 4e-fte cam cover, would you have any interest taking that as P/X? Matt -
Are you running a blitz k1 at the moment? If so, any photos of your setup, would be very interested to see! Matt

Oh I meant just not use the stock ecu on its own, forgot the emb was a piggyback! Now the fun begins 😀
-
Thanks for the information! Lots to think about now, leaning towards getting it mapped, I really want it running sweet with 200bhp on the k1, I have a blitz boost gauge but on the lookout for a greddy.. Will update when I make up my mind, thanks again all!
-
I am starting to consider ditching the stock ecu and getting it mapped at 1bar now, trying to way it all up, I really would have no use for anything over 200bhp
-
Thanks dude that's a really good idea! I don't have a mapper yet! So will start looking around! My goal is roughly 200bhp at the wheels, quick spool up time and nice n reliable for everyday use
-
Hi Daniel, thanks for the reply, have you had experience with the emanage ultimate and mapping? I'm trying to get as much information before I spend money as it's my first time modding a car to this spec, want to get it right!
-
I have another question, if I install an emanage ultimate for example with the above mods and get it mapped, would that be more reliable than keeping the stock ecu to run the above mods? Thanks in advance for any ideas! Matt

Hi James, I have one there that links directly up to the battery, might pop it on and see what it's like.
