Hi all,

I'm back in the starlet game, after break I have just bought another, my 3rd, I bought it over the interwebs sight unseen, only pics, whilst it looked okay the body is rougher than I thought, ah well, perfect excuse for a repaint. I just sold a car to finance this build, been wanting to go all out for years, now I can.

This was an ex Qantas car and only run around the flightline, good thing is when I picked it up it had 15,500kms on it, winner!! Drove it back from Sydney and it has just over 17,000kms on it now, plans for her are listed below:

Full Glanza body kit (already bought a complete one with S bonnet, front bumper with optional lip, side skirts, rear bumper with optional lip, complete rear hatch, front lights, power mirrors)

Lower it - just bought some Tein springs which claim 57mm front and 50mm rear

Disc rear end - just bought one and will put it in soon as I pick it up and give it a clean

Front strut - bought one and it's in already

Glanza steering wheel

Rear 3 point brace, bought one from Japan, just gotta wait for it

Wheels ant tyres - just deciding which ones, will be 15 x 6.5 ish with 195/50/15 on them - feel free to suggest options for wheels

Rear sway bar - bought one just gotta pick it up

Panhard rod

Tint the windows

Glanza rear tail lights

Different seats, either Glanza, Paseo or other

Remove the rear seat and retrim the boot area (I did that with my last one and like the look)

Dash clock - had one in the shed so that's in

Cup holder

Stereo upgrade

Change the dash to either Glanza S or V, I prefer the clean look of the Glanza S dash

Change to Glanza door cards

4E-FTE engine swap with gearbox

Repaint in either original 040 white or a white pearl

That's all I can think of now, there will be more, here are the pics, very boring at the moment, very high, and very stock, that will change.

Awesome buy mate I was so tempted to grab this one. If I didn't already have my one I would have snapped it up. Can't wait to see it all kitted up.

Are you on the starlet Australia fb group?

I also got a quote to have the car wrapped, holy $hit that's expensive stuff, first quote was for $4500, second with different product was $3800!!! a bit much I think, what price is wrapping in the UK, and has anyone done it to a Starlet?

Went out tonight and bought 4 new spark plugs, will be getting some new leads as well, and a SAAS pod filter, I had the pod filter on my last one and loved the induction noise.

Engine swap is down the track, I will have a couple of weekends to fit all of this gear, and I bought a mint Celica leather steering wheel to go on it.

Just a quick update, I'm hoping the disc rear end goes in today, then over the weekend it will be the following:

Rear sway bar on

Panhard rod on

Mags on

Tien springs in

Change a couple of door handles

New front speakers

Once that is all done hopefully it won't look like a granny spec Starlet any more and will look a bit better.

More progress, I now have a disc rear end in, wheels on, calipers and rear sway bar painted ready to go on tomorrow, if my panhard rod turns up. And yes sleepers are good if you have power, which I don't!!!
