  1. I've got some 18v lithium snap on gun it's ok prob not worth the £630.00 I paid for it as there must be better for less money.
  2. Belts run the oil pump I belive, false economy not to really, also depends on how spanner friendy you are, would not have fort it would be to hard to be honest just making sure timings timed up correctly afrerwoods
  3. I am a mot tester Your pretty much ok up to 95 as I don't believe you will find 4efte in the manual then you still get the 3.50 / 1200 Also if the engine number is missing ???!!?! Then you can't test it to the exact match so therefore it drops down to the lower limit. After this if it's still not a match you still got to get it within it's limits just slightly more margin Failing that make your car a q plate and get pre 75 emissions test Could be wrong as there's so many different views and speaking to many testers they all say different.
  4. That's correct if you can't find the exact engine number (missing) or not a match then it can drop down to a pre cat test.
  5. It depends on if it's excessive but I did mot a Volvo the other week with a cracked manifold blowing badly amd it passed the emissions ok
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong but up to 1992/3 you don't need a cat test but then they started doing cat tests and after 1995 you certainly need one if you can't find a exact engine engine number and it's between 93/95 for a cat test then it drops down to the pre cat test. After 1995 you should have a cat test? This is how I've understood the mot manual
