  1. It's at castle combe, bit of a trek for you Geo! but it's usually good as you can see starlets on the track.

I guaged interest on tgtt.com and little people took it up, quite surprising as the charade gtti forum has a bigger turn out from last year then there is interest this year and there is much less of them and I thought that was just wrong.

Can try a uksc stand if you want? I don't have the money to do the stand myself (its just buffer money to pay japfest then get the money back from members going and postage of tickets)

its £14 on the day, £11 in advance, and £8 on a club stand

    £25 for 15mins track time.

  2. had similar damage to my last car (it had an attempted break in before I owned it) but without the paint damage.

I suggest you save up and get it delocked, when my bodywork gets done I'm doing that, key locks are so vulnerable, but i think a chav had a go at yours not a pro from all the damage.

  3. Guys I was planning march as a month for the big 3 county meet, kent, hampshire+surrey, would you lot mind cancelling it for the triple one? february is rolling road one in south west, so best not to do it then (people can't afford 2 long trips in a month) and march is ideal as its a preparation for the international meet. and april can be your usual monthly meet.

    what do you say?

  4. Thanks Geo.

The GCC and IPM are add on's to the HKS PFC Fcon fuel controller.

The GCC (Graphical Control Computer) - this is used to refine the fuel map curve at various rpm's

The IPM (Injector Pulse Monitor) - It's exactly what it says on the tin, shows graphically what your injectors are doing (Note: If you coast at over 40mph you don't use any petrol at all  )

  5. scutch - moulded carbon in same way as fibreglass, it comes in a sheet form off a roll, well mine did. I taped the back of the area where the ashtray went, and then filled the whole area in foam (waxing it first, so it came out after) once its set (overnight) cut it down to shape, and put resin on carbon sheet and lay on your mould, I did 2 layers of carbon. Once it's got a bit stiffer but still workable (wet), cut around edges and holes required, thats about all there is too moulding.

minuszero - I got it in roll form online (10cm x 5M or something like that), by a carbon specialist, had it a couple of years now so don't know address, but a google search will get it for you.

    Nanglebadger - thanks mate

lobotomy - they are difficult to see down there yes, I wouldn't reccomend it really B) But its hidden from prying eyes with a subtle bit of cloth over. unlike a pillar pod mounted guage.

  6. Thanks guys, when working on this kinda stuff I always get pissed off and wonder why I bother, but end result usually gets a smile and it seems worth it, and it is, forming the carbon wasn't so hard, but painting it was a nightmare, as it wouldn't set right, so I heated it over a open fire and the paint then rubbed off! and the whole thing weakened, so I had to remove all the paint, sand it down and start again. The IPM looks great in action, like a digital tacho in some ways!

  7. I've never heard of those bridgestones, maybe its worth changing them, Eagle F1s or something.

anti lift plates will give you more grip, and bigger wheels with a wider tread will help too. 16/45/205 is what I have, and with the anti lift plates I get a hella lot more traction, and smoother acceleration too. anti-lift made the biggest difference, maybe worth looking into if you're tight on money. I was going to get a LSD but don't really need it now I don't think.

  8. Carbon is hard to finish right, and mine had marker pen over it where I marked out where to cut the wholes, so I decided to paint it to get the best finish, white to match the rest of my interior bits that I've sprayed.

    Dried and fitted in place.

And finally finished and in place:

    What's everyone think?

  9. Needed a place to mount my fuel controller, gcc, and IPM as well as make my boost guage sit someone nice, as it was currently hanging on a wire infront of my ashtray.

So I came up with this:

    P1000080.jpg

Its a carbon fibre plate I moulded, this is the side view with gcc, ipm and boost guage in place

    P1000081.jpg

This is making sure it fits it right, it replaces the ashtray and cigar lighter (I only use that to power my speed camera detector, and its now all hidden behind the dash)

I think this should be saved somewhere, will make a good reference, maybe a sticky in bodywork section?

I foking love that HRF front bumper too, think it looks the nuts, total aggression, yet nothing OTT.

I cleaned it for the pics so it should look shiny!

Been meaning to put pics on here in ages, but most of the nicer pics I have, I didn't take myself and were quite dated (didn't have tints then) so had to wait.

I live in a town called gosport next to portsmouth, not close to weymouth really, thats south west and I'm central. pics were taken on stokes bay road
