  1. Nice one thanks for all this info lads very helpful, much appreciated. Think I will just do as you say Rob_B and replace the bushes as I'm not too keen on fiddling with the exhaust (not experienced enough at mo) plus from what I've read elsewhere front ARB does little to improve handling
  2. this remided me of EP91_BEN thought it was the same person but it is not (or maybe it is) http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/61966-beware-of-ep91ben-from-essex-scam-alert-help-needed-mods/ Seems like EP91_starlet was online yesterday but no reply to this thread...what a cockchops! I hate dishonest people! I'm also in brum on a regular so gonna get my detective on next time I'm there and see if I can see his car about because I think I have a lead, the reliability of which depends on how stupid this guy is ...
  3. Cheers Robs and pig66eon! This is the one I was thinking about, http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/61944-glanza-front-anti-roll-bar/ I think it is the rubber bushes one rob_H, can you confirm this? I also just noticed there is no middle bolts...do you know if me NA have ones that fit? what do you think rob_b for £20 and local would you buy it + new polybushes? or would you just go for the polybushes?
  4. Cheers man. Yeah it was a shame about the meet but think it might of worked out for the best, as it turned out I didn't have any breaks left! Just bare metal, so if the alternator belt didnt snap maybe I would of fallen victim to no brakes... I just took off the side strips and stickers, damm it makes a difference even thou the glue is still on lol. picking up a spoiler and some alloys on weekend and have a spliter to fit, so hopefully you will see some things in the next few weeks, build thread up soon! Cheers man, newbies unite!
  5. I think if you just had front speakers it might be a bit invasive, as the sound is blasting right at you. I find this when I disconect my rear speakers. I have an adapter to remove my unplug my parcel shelf speakers so I can take it out as I please. Also, just a thought you may have already though of, what about cutting a hole in the side panel cover that comes off, you know the one where the jack is? I dont know much about boxing speakers apart from the fact that it is complicated to get the sound spot on... I had thought about making my own sub box but was put off by all the science whic
  6. Hi, I was thinking about buying a glanza front ARB to fit to my starlet na (a 96 CD, EP91) and have a couple of questions, I hope you can help. 1. Will it fit? (need confirmation, I read in forum that they are same size but have different bolts) 2. Is it better than the stock NA one? 3. Will it make much difference to handling? (read forum and seems no one knows how much difference the front arb itself makes) I will also be getting front strut fittted at same time, followed by rear arb and strut when some cheap ones come up for sale. Thanks
  7. dont use an amp it will probably blow speakers... Radios have an amp built in thats suitable for most standard speakers. I just bought some 180w (peak) speakers and they run fine off my radio. Amp is needed if your putting in a sub woofer or if you have high wattage speakers. The sub needs much more power than normal speakers and so this is why an amp is needed.
  8. cool, not bothered how long it can adjust, was just wondering what length I'd have to adjust it to. I think I will have it but just gonna check forum for info on fitting etc I think I have to move some filters or something as its galnza (isn't it?). Will get back to you later, do you know what postage would be? I'm in leicester so drive is a bit far
  9. cool I got a couple of other questions then if you dont mind...sorry there is so many 1. Its it front or rear? (or both as its adjustable) 2. Being adjustable, how do I know how long to adjust it to? 3. Is it just as good as a fixed length one?
  10. I agree but those wheels look like they might dress them up and make them work...but thats prob because I'm the sort of guy who likes to colour coordinate his hat to his jumper
  11. sorry i meant did you paint them white like you said, because i reckon they look good orange with the bump strips, keep them! at least for a bit and it seems I aint the only one...
  12. Nice mate. Did you paint the wheels? I like them orange especially because it matches your side bumpers, if i were you i'd keep them like that, different too...
  13. fixed as far as I know, but still in garage as needs new brakes, front pads were worn to metal and discs need replacing. Rear shoes were the orginals and its a 96! The mechanic said the car seems to be in great condition though for its age.
  14. Cheers been searching internet for toyota green lol Build thread up in next week or so - once I do what I got planned. Cheers Ryan, yeah it was a shame, car is fixed but still in the garage because there are no brakes! pads were down to bare metal on the front and the rear shoes were the orginals! Parts ordered and will be on tomorrow... cheers mate, enjoying it already
  15. Not sure of colour, but yeah think it is the same as yours. Will check code and let you know... Do you know if its easy to get paint for because I wanted to spray a spoiler I'm getting and patch up a few scratches Oh and just so you know I'm planing on cutting out the slats and adding mesh, but I wanted to do it before I saw yours lol
  16. the alternator belt had dissappeared! I hope thats all, should find out tomorrow...
  17. cheers for the welcome smobey So I tried to go to my first meet on Sunday, but my alterntor broke on the way lol eneded up getting towed home... Big thanks to Ryan Lang for helping find the problem via picture message, without his help i might of carried on and killed the car! Here is my first pic lol Think pic might be a bit big, I pasted URL from photobucket, anyone know how I can make it smaller?
  18. This is what happened to me! had to get towed home after breaking down on the way, gutted... I Got 13 miles and realsied my battery light was on and car was overheating.Texted Ryan to let him know and he helped me work out the problem, big thanks for that ryan! Really grateful, if it wasn't for you I probably would of carried on driving it either home or to the meet (that was going through my mind) and I think that would of endede in tears... Should have it back tomorrow, fully serviced too. Will make it to the next one... I was more gutted about not making it than the car breaking
