Yea but i wouldnt want to just put forged pistons and rods into the old block with old pumps and belts. Closer to 1700 ive worked out. And thats just parts !! Thot u have to skim head and block etc. Probs gona keep saving in hope forged lump pops up. Doesnt happen often tho.

Hoping a forged motor pops up. Just at least wen u build urself u hav piece of mind.

Think my headgasket is blown. Been pricing things like gasket kit head bolts oil pump waterpump t/belt kit etc. Confident enough to strip down and change head gasket myself. But at the minute i only have £1000 to spend so cant stretch to forged bits. Question is am i better to spend all my cash rebuilding it with stock internals and new pumps etc. Or is it best to save that bit extra and buy a SECOND HAND forged engine ???

Can also vouch for micky boy. Got ep91 ks rom ecu. Works fine. not had it out on open road yet but started 1st time.
