Yuh that's the jump I cba to make, do all that effort to find the rom is crap. Will try it woth 315s and see how it runs then see about pfc after

with 315cc you should hardly notice any difference...maybe very slightly richer...but stock 4efte ecu should be able to control these
As long as I'm no worst then the faulty 4efte ones I've been dealing with then I'm happy

so your pfc is from another car ???
Was from a mitsubishi fto originally and got a separate chip flashed wit starlet rom
-
Yuh it's the non map require chip it was just flashed by someone on tgtt and I've never installed it to check it works

you will need to map them in have you safc or anything to dial them in ??? old pfc fcon and gcc/safc 5 button ??? i currently have the safc5 button ( old twist nob ) and i cant run bigger then stock injectors as idle cant be corrected on boost i can
Only pfc fcon (untestd chip). But would mean pissing about wit wiring and stuff.
Is the idle super rich then with 315s?

what about the 315cc ones ive got, too rich for the 4efte tf035hm?

they could use flow testing 1 might leak a bit etc etc
best (cheapest) place to get a set of 4 tested?
...or just buy a 2nd hand set?
-
Yuh not sure I need them. Just tested my fte ones and they are (resistance):
13.8 ohm
13.8
14
14.2
I'm ok as long as within 0.5 ohms, or is that not the case and I need 2 more 13.8 ones?
-
Yuh did think that would b the case. Annoying as but will test the resistance on the fte ones tomo and see how many need replacing and just keep driving to a minimal until I've got them.
Didn't know you could blast the tf on a 4efte, thought it came under dame rules as the td
-
So basically had this issue with my conversion and turns out my 4efte injectors are goosed.
So temporarily I'm running my only spare set (from a 2e na).
Question is what boost shall I turn my tf035hm down to?
On the 4efte 295cc ones you can run 6-7psi so will I be safe at say 3psi (for all the fun it's gonna be lol)?

You must have to buy the turbosmart WG for a direct fit. Good job you like reverse scoops.
Wouldn't say I'm a huge fan but will do as a stepping stone till I find a ts wg to swap with
-
Haha not yet, few days and it will b sound
-
That's a problem with the kit mate I've had worse issues than that with a wepr kit but that's another story
Too late to scare me now the kits on haha. As long as I can close the bonnet and it runs I'm happy
-
Still looks like it will be close lol
Think it will b ok. It's the flat part of the standard scoop it hits and this one just slopes. Will report back
-
That was easy, problem solved I suppose...

Dunno what's going on with the color in the pics but you can see it doesn't actually pop out it just hits the underside of the scoop. Would have trim 10mm.
Could go turbosmart but looking at £195 new or waiting to find someone who's willing to outright swap.
Think might just put together a quick fibreglass scoop patch until a reverse one comes along (if that's what I'll fix it).

Ok so played with the lambda and it's running a lot better but still feels a bit lumpy through the rev range on boost and gives off a cough of black smoke if I try and floor it :/
-
I wonder if the taller block is making the manifold sit higher up in the bay. Take another picture with the scoop completely off and take the pic flush with the bonnet
Yuh will get one tomorrow morn
-
Installed the wepr kit on my 5e with a tial wg however can't close the bonnet without loosening the scoop.
What are my options, reverse scoop?

pop it on the boat mate, get some real mechanics on it.
cant expect a bean to work it out ;)
Do the fumes smell fuelly?
Haha you tart.
Yuh rich stink
-
You really need to get a wideband on it to get a true indication of whats going on - looks like its only trimming 5-6% either way, not much really.
Yuh I know I've got one in my other motor it's just being arsed to rip it out and fit it onto this one
-
Since its over fueling use some standard BKR6e plugs - cheap and much more forgiving.
So is the ecu OBD1 data still saying lean? Not running a piggy back or anything on it? FCD?
Will source some diff plugs.
No piggyback or fcd just std fuel and management.
Check out the spreadsheet in the link it's got the lamda reading in there

I just had a look at the link you had in one of your earlier posts - that's a cold start injector and the 4e ecu doesn't run one so don't connect it. The reason the starter turns when you put 12v to that plug is that the old 2e used the cold start injector only when the starter is cranking and its wired into the STA circuit. So by powering that plug up its powering both that injector and the starter. There is a sensor on the thermstat housing that is supposed to only allow that injector to operate when the water is below a certain temp. Hopefully you don't have any of that wired up with the 4e ecu...
Yuh nothing is connected but good info none the less. Cheers
