it has a brand new sensor in it, have recrimped it again as before it wasn't the best. now to see if it makes any difference
Have you a link to the one you bought? Want to replace mine before the fueling is setup just to make sure its ok.
-
Yes pal it will work but as you say you will have to grind it down abit pal
I used to run the same one
Thats all I needed to know, great.
Thanks
-
Can somebody confirm that this will work in a glanza? I know you either have to grind down this or the power steering rack but will this work with the standard filter and fit ok?
-
Any pics of the lines and fittings mike ? Looking forward to these
Also mike just though if you could sed me two extra fittings and some braided line im
Sure i could cut it to size myself or is there a specifit way they have to be cut
Incase metal fileings get into the fuel system ?
Just an idea to save the farf or measuring them for you like
I asked incase they dont fit
This is for the rail to fpr
The fitment on the rail is an6 so you will need two of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171041509431?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
and providing the fitment on your rail is 1/8npt you will need one of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170961200502?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
and for braided line it all depends on where your fpr is. This can be got here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380711703154?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I hope Mike doesnt mind me posting this here or maybe he would be able to do it cheaper.
If you want me to remove this just say Mike

Bump Up, Anybody else? Needing brakes soon
-
Backup plan one seems like a great idea since it goes straight by my house lol
-
If these dont sell il take them
-
Scraped one of these a couple of weeks ago Wish I seen this earlier
-
Pm me a price for the bumper up to Derry. Thanks
-
I would be up for a group buy on the OEM groved 110%'s and a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads.
-
Pm Morgey mate
Whats he got or what? I see he has a levin but doesnt seem to be selling the brakes of it.
If people can't stretch to a WMS kit we've had really good feedback on DS2500 pads and WMS "110%" discs which use a thicker casting to increase thermal mass while retaining the original Glanza etc caliper.
Would you rate the DS2500 pads better than the yellowstuff's I think it is.
What would be the price for the DS2500's and the 110% discs posted to NI then?
-
Hmm 8 hour return journey is a bit much just for a bumper lol
-
My personal opinion is to go for a good brake set up, up front something along the lines of WMS, wilwood or ksports or even levin twin pots and then just refresh the rears completely using OEM stuff
I know what you mean but simply I cant justify spending £600 on front brakes alone but in saying that if I got WMS's for around 400 id say I would be more inclined for that.
Unless you are running stupidly high HP, just get uprated pads.. no point going over the top unless you drive like a nut all the time
Thats what I was thinking, only on a td04 setup at the minute
Our customers have always given great feedback on EBC Turbo Groove discs with Yellow stuff pads
What sort of price are they? Including whatever is the normal for the rear, ABS discs aswell
-
Where abouts in ireland are you?
-
So my glanza needs new brakes all round, well just really trying to keep things fresh. So what am I best to go for?
I have heard that OEM pads and discs on the rear are the best, 20 of a difference in ABS and non ABS. Would I be better going for the non ABS and just put the 20 towards a removal kit?
Fronts im not overly sure what to go for? It wont be used on a track, but does get some sprinted runs around back roads so need something sharp.
Whats my options on the front? Thanks
I dont really have the option of levin brakes as they never really come up for sale here.

That's definitely a *duino.
That is a total joke to be honest, the price of it is a bit extreme, but its simple what they are doing and handy for people who cant code, I talk like I can haha

Here is a quick picture of how the screen is coming along, Im not interested in getting it all working and displaying accurate data before I worry about the layout
Here I have a total of 5 senders, oil pressure, oil temp, fuel pressure, water temp and boost pressure.
So soon enough im going to start making a loom that will be a bit more permanent with the wires being soldered to a proper board and hidden inside a case. This will then be hidden inside the dash.
The power for the ardunio will come from a phone charger that I will take apart and wire in directly so as it has a 5v source instead of a 12. This should help keep things a bit cooler.
-
For oil press I'd use two thresholds, one for too low and one for too high. And if it's too low I'd have tge display display "Oil pressure low" with an annoying beeping.
Yes sounds like a plan? What do you think too high would be?
Danger to manifold
Haha very good, hopefully it doesn't come to that lol
-
So what do people recommend as safe operating conditions?
oil pressure <= 0.9 bar
boost pressure >= 1.3bar
water temp >= 100c
oil temp ?? not sure what this runs at
fuel pressure??
-
When is this running to? Another couple of days or maybe weeks? I wont be able to get one to the end of November or so.
-
I thought it was 28mm that you needed? Bought one a couple of weeks ago and its prob to late to leave back but havent got around to fitting it
-
I really want to do this as well, how are you getting on?
I'm a .NET developer by day, super her by night.. just kidding. Anyway, I bought a Netduino to play with. I want to do similar, just oil temp/pressure, boost and also a lap timer. I'm at the stage now where I need to start buying sensors, I have a link bookmarked at work from a guy who did a lot of research and started doing a similar sort of thing, will try and remember to post it here tomorrow.
Just after seeing your posts there now, sorry.
Im only a student developer so im not overly experienced in the whole thing but im in a placement for a year now so hopefully should pick up plenty by the end of that. Good to see I can use you for tips/help lol.
The thing is, it isnt hard to add something on to this later on. I've been looking at a boost controller mainly and it doesnt seem to bad and I never even considered a laptimer but I have no need for that as the i never race
That's the big project, it will take some reading through, there's detail on his trials and tribulations throughout the post, I'm about 20 pages deep at the moment.
Some more useful stuff here..

and here
http://cstark27.blogspot.co.uk/
I was going to start with a lap timer first, just a simple start a timer at a given GPS co ordinate, and stop the next time through it and then work on replicating Racelogics Performance Box from there. I have some other ideas, but they're big picture, and as I struggle to find the time to even get this thing started it seems pointless discussing them here.
Good luck though, keep this thread updated.
Had a quick look at the first post of the first one there and I can tell I've alot of reading ahead lol Seems very detailed now, once i get a chance I will look into the others.
Thanks for the links.
Well my update for today is that I got the board and started wiring up a few wee things but im struggling with the code I have to admit.
Anyways heres a picture of what I've got so far.
by the way just seen that its costing your man well over $1K, Lets hope that doesnt happen me lol
I dont know if you can see it but the screen is displaying something like:
Engine Monitoring
System Glanza V

Sounds good to me, Are you able to match the price of these pads then? If bought with the 110% discs.
