Well I can't wait to see the results. Ah no go rear exit mate most side exits sound rough.
-
Wow how come?
-
Thanks lads really appreciate the nice comments. Think I'm a little obsessed with cleaning it ha ha.
Walker- I love yours buddy it's lovely and very original.
Bmx- I'll have to check your SR out mate, not many nice ones left at all anymore. I'd love a rough one to turn into a track car but I can't afford or store another.
Next on the list is:
.fully underseal the car- get right into the arches. I'll remove the front and rear bumpers and also refurbish any parts as I go along.
.fit the RARB, anti lift kit and get it all laser aligned.
.get the front and rear bumpers painted along with the scuff on the drivers sill and get the wing mirrors paint coded
.wheel refurb
.finally do a ct9 bolt on kit running low boost just for a bit of extra Keith under the bonnet but nothing crazy
To be honest though my job role might be changing in a month or two and if it does I might be forced to sell the car :/ I'll do everything I can to keep it but it'd mean doing around 400miles a week which isn't fair on the car. Fingers crossed though

Blimey! Good job you put it in then! It's on my to do list as well.
-
Ha ha looking great mate
-
Yeh sure mate I'd never expect them for free, let me know
-
ooo fancy you could black heat paint it? I found it protected mine quite well.
I guess most stock cast manifolds are pretty strong but heavy and noones really going to do an aftermarket one
-
Looking v purposeful
-
Ha ha now this comes up for sale after piecing mine together for months- glws v good price!
-
Ah mate they're lovely are you planning to make more? Mine are toast and need replacing, I have the caps though
-
Anyway I'm not getting into a slagging match on here especially not on someone's build thread.
-
My mates manifold cracked and the turbo needed a rebuild after less than a year amongst a few other people with cracking issues and unless you're the original purchaser the warranty doesn't stand
-
The kits look great but again- lots of cracking issues
-
Yeh I'm sure it'll be fine afterwards just Crazy though that companies are selling these kits that crack so easily. I had an Aussie down pipe and front pipe on the gt4 and they were both shocking after a few months... The company went under eventually
-
Thanks buddy. In two weeks I'm just on call at work and the place should be empty so the underneath of the car is going to get lots of love- fully cleaned and under sealed then I'll fit the RARB
-
So even zisco stuff cracks? Only stuff I've heard of being decent is race techs
-
Ha I'm a bit far away though mate
-
Ha ha I'll do it for you, I'm weird and love doing things like that. Got a wire wheel at work

Finally got the brakes on today didn't take long and everything just bolted up nicely. Got to say it's an epic set up and a real credit to Russ. Even though i didn't get them from him (second hand from a member) he's still helped me out loads with the rebuild kit and info.
To say the brakes are good would be daft, the car pretty much folded in half the first time I used them ha ha.
They're nice and shiny now after a bit of 'bedding in'

How much? Not on fb

Plus it'll be crazy loud lol mines a little on the daft side
