  1. Yes you can just swap bits over theres also a flange that you need that the caliper mounts to.

    Flange

    Calipers

Discs (the bearings are in these which is why they cost a lot)

    Brake lines

    Handbrake cable

    Dust covers

Personal though unless you are doing track work I really wouldnt bother. The rear disc setup is pretty useless, I've rebuilt and replaced everything on mine, adjusted and re-adjust mine time and time again in various different ways, had garages look over them and try get them to work and they just don't.

In every way other than looks drum brakes are the better option.

  2. Not sure whats going on there, it might be down to various software updates and permissions being changed between various member levels during the upgrades, or it may be restricted to paid members now im not 100%. Ill ask the admin, they will know for sure

In the mean time Link the thread and what you want the title changing too and ill change it for you.

  3. Not really done much with this, just had a play around with the exhaust to stop it knocking at which point i found the guys who modded it fucked up the gasket on the V-band and had filled it with sealant so i cleaned it all up and fitted an o-ring instead.

I broke the wiring on the antenna for my alarm so need a new harness for that -_-

Had a big rattle from the boot which was the plastic trim covering the rear wiper motor etc so pulled it off untill i get some new clips.

Erm yeah thats about it list of stuff to do is

    - New bolts for rear strut brace or make clearance holes in backs of seats

    - mod intake plenum for clearance for front strut brace

    - fit rear boot carpet

    - change window switches back to old ones

    - find last missing wheel center cap and fit with new speedline stickers

    - replace tte badge that fell off the spoiler

    - make p/steering lighter

    - clean iacv and fit pipe to intake plenum (currently just to atmosphere)

No idea when ill do these but atleast i have a list to work through lol

  4. Sort of, i had a set done silver and fitted with some ad08r's which i had on the starlet but then put some ns2r's on my grey set that were on my corolla and decided they were too noisy for daily use so swapped them over so now have grey alloys on the SR which are a fair few years old so could do with being redone.

  5. I hate to say it but a lot of these things should have been spotted when looking around the car and doing the usual checks.

However you have it now so make sure you do a thorough check over of everything as it sounds like a bit of a deathtrap if the seats are loose.

Hard to say what the plugs are for but id hazzard a guess foglight and rad fan looking at the area they are in.

If you're going to buy an new manifold dont buy one of the £60 japspeed ones off ebay as they will crack within a week.

Plenty of info on here mate, forum is a bit quieter than it used to be but if you use the search function and look in the how to section you will find some good resources.

Sounds like it might be mate. Could it be the first time 2 4age SR’s are in the same place anywhere.......ever?

bit gutted I’m not still the owner, but it will be a bonus to meet you after like 6 years or something lol

Well considering i only know of 2 i would say so!

Ahh its cool, at least its still about and not been broke for parts which it might have been if you didnt fix her up.

  8. Looking good mate, if you ever need expensive bits from toyota, try amayama.com instead, still OEM parts and you will need part numbers first but you can save a small fortune.

I got some engine mounts and ball joints last year, should have been nearly £500 from toyota, i paid £240 delivered after import tax and handling fees
