Tbh you should check where the lever is catching. normaly you can see through the grill if the lever is moving or not... if its stiff hit it with some wd40.. level it for some time.. try again. if the lever aint moving... pop a screw driver in to release the catch. once you get it open... fire grease in about it... you shouldnt have any problem there after.

If your happy with what you have then why change it buddy? if your realy set on buying something bigger... just read up on them.. price of stuff, ie repair,maintenance,tax,insurance. make sure you can cover all corner last thing you wants some big repair bill and you cant cover it!

Standard V's are worth £2500 these days... reason? too many are being brought in now.. common as much and the fact the credit crunch is hitting cars... for an auto v you can pick one up for around 1500 to 2000 these are the prices that your just going to have to come to terms with... i bought mines for 4k back in the day... but everyone always loses money on cars. even with the amount of money i spent.. i know that when i sell my car its gona be standard and its going for around that price. accept it or keep it for the rest of your days.. the price isnt going to go back up anytime soon..
