They were done by audio advice as well lol. Hence why I didnt have a go at installing the stuff. Cost a bit more but I reckon it was well worth it. Not entirely sure how they did the pillars though never asked about them lol.
-
And if anyone is interested Im probably going to sell the original door mirrors so give me a shout if you want them or I'll put them on ebay in the next week instead
-
@ Sparky theres a picture of them earlier on in the topic but heres another to remind you lol The best thing is I was driving around with those in when I had L plates on the car lol. Details is youre interested theyre made of I think MDF and covered over in Alcantara again since it was the closest match to the existing fabric, and it has removed my door pocket but thats what a glove box is for lol. I never used them anyway lol. And the components are Focal 165-A 6.5" and the sound out of them is incredible. And the small black knob to the right of my keys is the bass control for the sub which

Found a couple of pics of the audio I forgot to put in last time so here they are. Fisrt are the tweeters installed in the a pillars and finished over in alcantara. Which justifies why I didnt do the install myself lol. And for anyone whos interested this ids the head unit I went for. Cant remember the model code but its the latest Kenwood USB ... and apologies for the state of my car mats, the white tack underneath it and the chewing gum packet ... and probably fairly soon Ill be apologising for the gear knob as well lol
-
@ Tahiti I got them made up by a company in Portadown called Audio Advice. Didnt want to run the risk of doing it myself so I just got all the audio done by them although I could have wired it given the time.

dear god that would look hideous lol. I love my rims and noone gets near them lol especially not with that sort of thing. Probably going to paint the calipers and drums though. The R stands for Restricted unfortunately. Although in practice 85mph just 'testing' third gear isnt too restricted lol but we shouldnt talk about that lol. And Im from the almighty Northern Ireland
-
White lol. I can prove it by going out and taking a pic if you want lol
-
Lol I duno I reckon Calzaghe is gonna win it but Hopkins wont be a pushover. He hasnt got where he is by getting knocked down lol

@ Nanglebadger - Have you any pics of your warm glowing warming interior glow? Couldnt find any in your topic
-
Yea lets get it clear there will NEVER be any exterior neons! I am not a chav let me categorically state that lol. I mean interior nothing over the top but just a little bit of green in the footwells and maybe a green glow behind the dials. not on the outside that would look hideous lol. @4EFTE lol although I have passed my test lol. The L plates were before I had passed but over here we have to display an R for a year and were restricted to 45mph in theory. Just a way to control young drivers over here. I passed my test on October 8th so still a while to go on the R's lol
-
Yea Im definately staying up for this one! Just hope its not as annoying as the Hatton fight I stayed up for to see him get his ass handed to him lol
-
Awww man really sorry to hear about that hope you can get the damage repaired. And definately hope they catch the scummy bastard who did it! Bring back hanging I say. I really wish they legalised that alarm system they talked about ages that was like a flamethrower from under your car... although not too sure you would have wanted to smell burning chav lol

OK to update on the latest work done to my car. Finally got some colour coded mirrors with thanks to steviet. Love the way they look and without revealing too much there are more plans afoot. Although one question I will pose is whether green lighting in the car would ruin everything? I have some green LED strips for the footwells and am considering keeping the green going with some speaker rings for the boot but unsure on the idea atm. Opinions please and Ill see what way it swings.

Nanglebadgers work in progress
cheezeitthedog replied to Nanglebadger's topic in EP91 Progress Blogs
Man those are nice wheels! Glad to see youve gotten so far already with the work! Cant wait to see the finished article again should look awesome!! -
It would be shittingly expensive but bearing in mind the amount of tax were paying on petrol and also the amount of fines they would pick up I would say the government can justify the expense. And I dont really think that in the grand scheme of the government it would be that huge a expense since the database is already there and I'm fairly sure they can recognise a number plate so a quick search for convincted drivers, uninsured drivers, untaxed cars, R drivers wouldnt be beyond them.
-
Damn! Im gonna need to start saving money now lol
-
A question still remains about these for me especially since I know they have them in Northern Ireland and they're actually near me lol. I'm still on R plates and technically restricted to 45mph on any road but will these cameras actually be able to tell that? So say I'm doing 50mph past a set of these cameras will I get a fine and points or will it do nothing because I'm under 60mph?

TSCCNI Track-Day Kirkistown April 6th 2008
cheezeitthedog replied to cheezeitthedog's topic in The Irish Quarter
Yea I know my bad. Completely forgot about it. You should pop along anyway if you can get there the weather should make it interesting since slicks arent going to operate if the temperatures are anything like today lol. -
Sorry to mention this so late but for anyone interested the track day season at Kirkistown continues with the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club on April 6th. For anyone interested in going out on track membership of the club is £15 (i think) for the year and the day cost is £45. I have worked it out and it is still the cheapest track day in the country especially if you attend all of them throughout the year. Arrival should be at around 10.30 for an 11am sign on with the first run being at around 12noon. The day will run until 6pm. For anyone looking to watch you can show up anytim

It makes we want to cry to think that Cobra have made such a scarily disgusting seat lol. I would have been depressed to own the Mini it came from... in fact owning a Mini Mayfair wouldn't have pleased me much anyway lol

I'll have to get the old G-meter out and have a go at this when I get a chance. Would love to see how much I've lost from the book since I've only really added weight lol
